Psychological investigation in an unstable world
THIEF’S SHELTER is a 3D Point and Click psychological adventure game that reflects a mind in ruins: nothing is stable and even the player's thoughts are unreliable. Detective James' investigation in Birmingham into a bizarre homicide intertwines with his personal torments, including artificial dementia and hallucinations. Highburn Manor evolves and distorts as you progress, revealing new locations or transforming old ones. The player must combat James' mental deterioration, use investigative tools like UV light and the digital camera to reveal invisible secrets, and search for clues in this environment that assaults the senses. James's Journal reflects his changing mental state.

Deduction puzzles and adaptive truth
The game's puzzles reward observation and deduction. To succeed, you must find four key artifacts, manipulate complex mechanisms or decode symbols. The game adapts to your discoveries, with clues potentially disappearing if you miss them, changing your experience. The main path leads to the end, but further exploration is required to uncover the full story, involving hidden VHS tapes and Red Order-related conspiracies. The game modernizes the point-and-click genre with a cinematic experience and detailed 3D environments. The truth you perceive depends on what you notice, ensuring strong replayability.
