Worship : Unveiling our Chapter 2 of the Early Access Roadmap
Unveiling our Chapter 2 of the Early Access Roadmap
Hi cultists! We are here once again for an update regarding Worship – the last one of the year. We hope you’re ready because we do have lots of things to tackle today.
Let’s jump straight into it!
Early Access Roadmap, Chapter 2
After some careful planning and consideration, we are now ready to unveil the second part to Worship’s roadmap.
Behold!

We’ll be starting the year with a quality of life update, working on implementing highly requested elements by the community: remappable key bindings and more resolution support. We’re putting the final touches regarding this update as you read these lines so stay tuned for that!
While this smaller update gets pushed, the rest of the team will be hard at work on the second major update for our game: a brand new content update! This update will include a new zone as well as new content and encounters to sink your teeth in. Meta progression and ways to track it will also be making its way in the game. More on that below!
Dev. Update and Sneak Peeks
The team is currently hard at work on designing and creating new content as well as implementing feedback from the community. These past few months have been a blur for us with the different content patches we made for Worship.
Here’s a few sneak peeks at what we’re working on currently!
Zone 3 – The Cabal Marshlands

Concept art for the Cabal Marshlands
The Cabal Marshlands is a swamp-covered area occupied by both the Coven and the countless Unseen Depths horrors pouring out from the rifts that open there from time to time. Your cult’s actions made the taint that was already present in the area grow to an unusual level. Rifts seem to pop out of nowhere, letting in countless abominations from the Unseen Depths threatening the Marshlands.

This zone is also the temporary home of the coven caravan. As such, abundant signs of Coven activity and occupation can be seen there: Caravan paths and camps established in the scarce safe zones are scattered about. Some of their members decided to settle there, studying the taint and its effects on the Marshlands, uncovering different relics of the past as well.
The Eldritch Prophecies (metaprogression)
Worship being a roguelite, it was always in the plans to add some form of progression and unlockable elements to add to your runs. For now, we plan to have multiple objectives set for you to achieve. And completing these achievements will give you rewards in the form of in-game rewards, new forms of encounters, and lore entries!

Mockup of the metaprogression sub-menu
The Eldritch Prophecies is an entire sub-menu that should be accessible in the main menu. It is intended to serve as a way to keep track of your progress towards unlocking new content, upgrades, and lore entries.
Getting Steam Deck Verified
We’re officially getting the Steam Deck verification. That means Worship is now fully playable on your Steam Deck!
We still have a few resolutions to work on implementing for the game, but we prioritized on adding support for the Steam Deck’s native resolution in order to speed up this verification.
Enjoy playing on Steam Deck!
We’re deactivating the Multiplayer Beta Branch starting today
We took down the multiplayer feature from the main game branch back in July, and instead put it in a separate Beta branch. As we mentioned in our initial announcement regarding the multiplayer beta branch, our plan was to make it available but not actively maintain it. Considering this, it is currently in a state where it is simply impossible to launch a multiplayer session. That is why we are deactivating the Beta branch altogether, in order to not dilute our efforts put into pushing more content for the game.
We will have more info to communicate regarding the state of multiplayer in 2026, so stay tuned!

Last chance to Report Bugs for the Contest

The last day to officially submit bugs on Discord for the contest is set for December 19th. After that, the normal bugs-reports text channel will be put back up on the server and the contest will end.
We will ship the helmets once we’re back at the office in January!

Closing Words
That’s it for today! Please take note that the office will be closed for the Holidays break from December 19 to January 8th. We’ll be back and ready to tackle and work on Worship’s new updates head on by then!
See you next time for a new update and happy holidays!
