Sanguine — Patch 1.7 Release Date Announced
Hello again everyone!
I’m excited to officially announce that Patch 1.7 —which we discussed in our previous update—is set to release on:
📅 April 17th
🕖 7:00 PM CST / 8:00 PM EST
🌍 1:00 AM (April 18th) CET / 2:00 AM (April 18th) MSK
This is a major update , and because of the scope of changes, a new save will be required once the patch goes live. Older saves will no longer be compatible.
A lot of core systems have been reworked, improved, or newly implemented , and maintaining compatibility with previous saves would introduce too many issues. This is something we’ve always expected during Early Access—but the good news is: starting fresh will absolutely be worth it.
As shown in the previous post, this update brings a significant amount of new content and improvements—and there’s even more that wasn’t listed there, which I’ll be detailing in the full patch notes at launch.
Localization Update
• Russian localization is now fully implemented and working
• Japanese localization will not make this build, but is coming soon
Getting Russian fully integrated was a big step forward and has helped pave the way for additional language support moving forward.
What’s Coming Next
• End of April → A follow-up polish patch addressing bugs, feedback, and Survivor Stories updates
• May (target) →New & updated AchievementsThe first part of Act 3Including the AlTran Parking Lot boss fightAnd a major cinematic cutscene
I wanted to include this content in 1.7, but it’s not quite at the level of quality I’m aiming for yet—so I’m taking the extra time to get it right.
Final Stretch Before Launch
Right now, I’m deep in:
• Heavy playtesting to eliminate bugs, crashes, and rough edges
• Final cutscene polish for an important story moment
• Updating the end credits sequence
• Putting together the release trailer and promotional materials
Thank You
As always—thank you to everyone who has supported Sanguine so far.
Your feedback, testing, and encouragement continue to shape this game in a meaningful way, and it genuinely means a lot.
I can’t wait for you all to jump into Patch 1.7 and experience everything it brings.
See you soon.
