Military Logistics Simulator : Forklift Update | Now Available
Forklift Update | Now Available
Hey everyone!
Once again, thank you for playing Military Logistics Simulator and thank you for all the comments and feedback you’ve been sending us for the past week. We have now released an update that aims to answer the issues you mentioned the most.
Here are the major changes:
1. Forklift
We have introduced the forklift into the game. You can drive it, and manipulate the mast and tines. Objectives in most missions have been modified, so that completing them will require you to use the forklift.
These tasks are a little more challenging than before, but there are systems that will help you navigate the new mechanics:
– when you play in the first person perspective, you will notice a small tablet in the cabin that helps you see the position of tines and the cargo
– cargo will also snap to shelves when you put it away with a forklift
– if you drop cargo and it falls sideways, you can try to push it back in the right position like a pro, or you can just wait 25s for it to reset
Please note, you will still have objectives where you carry things by hand, or put them in your inventory, but you will no longer carry the largest containers, big pallets, etc. by hand. Only when you assemble turrets, some very heavy objects will be handled the old way.
2. Savegame in Single player
We have improved the way the game saves your progress. In single player, every time you complete a mission and report to an NPC, the game saves. If you leave the game and return later, you will begin at that « checkpoint », until you reach the end of another phase, or the end of the whole mission.
3. Savegame & Multiplayer
In multiplayer, save is not implemented. This is because every time you play the multiplayer session, all missions are simply available. You can play them in any order you like. You can open FOSCON (the in-game console for truck, convoy and task management) and select any of the avaialble missions. You can also talk to NPCs and just ask them for jobs, in any order you like.
When you begin multiplayer session, the marker will indicate Quartermaster Anderson, but the dialogue will no longer force you to take his mission.
4. Vehicle AI Drivers
We have updated how the AI drives in the game, but since some undesired behaviour may still occur, please note:
– some missions have been modified, so that they don’t rely so heavily on AI vehicles’ pathfinding, but rather on convoys led by the player
– in case a vehicle is stuck, you can recover it and change its target with FOSCON; you can still also recover player-controlled vehicles and yourself
Other minor changes and bug fixes are part of the update, too, of course.
We’ll appreciate your feedback. Let us know what you think when you give the update a try, and if you enjoy it, we’ll be greateful for good reviews.
Thank you! Merry Christmas!
