Content Preview for V1.1 & Future Updates

We’ve been optimizing functions and fixing bugs in the past month since the release of Halcyon Days at Taoyuan. We were too busy to carefully plan the future of this game.

So during the Spring Festival holiday, we chewed over feedback and suggestions from all players, finalized the detailed content of the first major update according to the previous roadmap we posted.

The first major update will be available with V1.1:

V1.1Add Garden System & Update Farm

1. Add flowers you can grow.

2. Add ornamental trees.

3. Add the feature of making porcelain.

4. Add the feature of making potted landscape.

5. Remake the farm so the construction area can be arranged more neatly and you can construct on the grassland surrounding your house.

6. Add the second farm.

7. Remake the garden in Grand House so you can decorate it at your will.

8. Enrich the dialogues with villagers, especially the ones with romance candidates before and after marriage.

9. Adjust the balance between income and expenditure.

We’re working hard to make sure the future major updates will be as content-rich as this one, so it’ll be worth revisiting Taoyuan Village when these updates are available. In the meantime, we’ll continue optimizing the in-game controls and interactions for sure, so you can enjoy yourself better in Taoyuan Village.

We also discussed the extra quests and different views in four seasons you demand. After the internal discussion, we tentatively decide to add four types of quests in the future as follows:

Add More Quests

1. Add a series of Family Affair quests to help villagers change their lives. For example, you can make a match between two villagers or improve someone’s quality of life.

2. Add a series of Village Construction quests to change the appearance of Taoyuan Village. For example, you can help rebuild the cycle of the four seasons so the village can take on different appearances in different seasons.

3. Add a series of Love Problem quests to provide you with more interactions before you marry someone.

4. Add a series of Married Life quests to provide you with more interactions after you marry someone.

More than 50k units of Halcyon Days at Taoyuan have been sold in the past month. And we’re still recouping the cost of developing this game. Obviously it’s not a huge success, but from it we see support and trust from players. So we’ll continue adding more content and gameplay to make Taoyuan Village a better place.
