GIGASWORD : First Week Recap!
First Week Recap!
Hi Giga-Friends!
GIGASWORD has been out for a week now, and the response has been amazing. It’s been such a pleasure watching you guys solve puzzles, react to cutscenes, and just generally have a great time with the finished game.
That being said, there have been plenty of bugs along the way, and I wanted to take a moment to address some of the most popular issues and requests. The TL,DR here is this: I’m working hard to patch things everyday, so if you come across anything that seems off, rest assured it’ll be fixed soon!
Okay, so what’s next for GIGASWORD? Let’s take a look:
Fast Travel: You wanted it, so you’re gettin’ it! Fast Travel was something I always wanted to add, but just didn’t have time to implement before release. I’m hoping to get it working by next week!
Pins on the Map Screen: This has been another popular request I’ve seen from you guys, and it’s a fantastic idea; especially with how secret-heavy this game is. This feature might take me a while to implement, but I’ll start working on it immediately.
Missing Ore Chest: One of GIGASWORD’s biggest issues is that your Ore Chest doesn’t always spawn when you die. On behalf of everyone who has lost substantial amounts of ore: you have my deepest apologies. This issue should be fixed on Steam now, but I’ll be closely monitoring the bug reports to make sure it doesn’t crop back up.
Other Issues: There have numerous other bugs I’ve seen come my way; most of which I’m working on as we speak. If you’d like to report a bug yourself, please do so using this link!

In summary, GIGASWORD is getting more and more stable with every passing day. Thank you guys so much for all your detailed bug reports, it really helps a ton! And to everyone who’s been playing the game this past week: thank you for helping me to achieve my dream of being a game developer. There’s still plenty of exciting things to come in the near future, so I hope you’re all as stoked as I am!
Love you all a ton,
-Jack
