Workshop Launch! FrostBound v1.1.2 – Patch-Note

Dear Lords:

The Workshop is officially launched.

During the internal testing in the past month, we not only fixed a large number of editor issues but also added some new features, enabling the editor to create card effects that cannot be achieved in the main game.

Meanwhile, we have already accumulated a certain amount of Workshop content, and the editor has also become more stable. We believe it is time to release the Workshop to the official version.

The current functions of the editor

Card Editing and Creation

The editor includes all the cards that can be used in the game, as well as their corresponding costs, card images, all attributes, tags, entries, effect logic, acquisition methods, etc.

Editable card types include [Defense Card], [Skill Card], [Attack Card], [Rune], [Item], [Curse], [Defense Building], etc.

All lords can modify/clone the original cards themselves, or create any card they desire completely from scratch.

Card effect visualization editing

The editor supports visual card effect editing, allowing lords to execute the effects pre-set by the editor in sequence by connecting lines, thus minimizing the entry barrier for the editor.

Card Pack Editing

To facilitate the management of your original cards for all lords, we have opened the card pack editing function. You can create card packs on your own, manage the cards within them in a unified manner, and synchronously unlock and seal relevant cards.

Quick Steam Upload

To facilitate lords in quickly and conveniently sharing their own creations, the mod editor integrates Steam’s mod upload process. With just simple configuration, users can upload their mods to Steam’s servers with a single click. All relevant user password information is stored locally.

Quick editing of Json format

To facilitate all high-tech lords, we have additionally added another way to edit card effects. All card effect edits will display the corresponding JSON-formatted text on the right side, allowing lords to quickly parse, read, and import pre-designed card effects.

Card upgrade chain

We display card upgrades in the form of a chain, allowing lords to quickly view, modify, and delete card upgrade directions, as well as adjust the upgrade order of cards.

Collectible cards

Lords can collect the cards they wish to quickly find and browse them in a dedicated interface. Any modifications made to them here will also be synchronized to the mod.

Use and Communication

We have integrated the editor user manual and the Discord link of our mod authors into the editor. All lords can refer to the manual to further understand the various functions of the editor, and are also welcome to join the group for communication.

Features currently under development

Event Editing

The various rich events in our game have always been well-received by all lords, and we will also open up event-related editing methods in the future. Everyone can write their own stories in the world of Winter.

Building Editor

Buildings are a very important and special type of card in the game. In the subsequent editor, we will also open support for building editing to allow all lords to create exquisite linkage effects.

Enemy Edit

The various distinctive monsters are also an indispensable part of the winter. In the upcoming update of the mod editor, we will open the enemy editing function to allow each lord to share their uniquely created monsters.

v1.1.2 – Patch-Note

Hero Events

12 hero events bring unique choices and buildings/cards.

In our last update, we introduced hero events for Golden Stone, Fate, Vitlin, and Anduriel. These events received a lot of feedback from lords, especially the design of Aetheria’s event. This time, we are bringing 12 more hero events. Each event reveals a part of the hero’s past, offers unique choices, and has a certain impact on game strategy.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed an issue where certain cards would obtain the wrong target.

• Fixed an issue where [Eric]’s effect did not match its description.

• Fixed an issue where [Imperial Banner]’s effect triggered incorrectly.

• Fixed an issue where [Royal Treasury]’s effect did not match its description.

• Optimized the resolution logic for [Priest of the End] – it now resets its own effect marker at the end of each monster turn.

• Fixed a bug where [Evil Karma]’s description did not match its actual effect.

• Fixed an error in [Blood Ritual Bishop]’s effect – under N10 difficulty, the [Blood Ritual Bishop] in End of Winter will now correctly destroy itself.

• Fixed several text description errors.

• Fixed an issue where some tags were classified incorrectly.

Gameplay Adjustments

• « Refine » : Effect reworked – After each play: For each 1 Arm, the carrying card gains +2 attack damage or +2 health during this battle. If the carrying card can perform ranged attacks, additionally gain +2 ranged attack power.

• (Some interesting new balance mods have already appeared in the Workshop, offering different approaches – we look forward to seeing your attempts.)
