Release 76 – Small Patch: Camera changes, bugfixes

This patch brings a change to the default camera behavior to avoid nausea in some players: it no longer moves with the aim of the ship. The old behavior can be re-enabled in the settings.

In addition there’s bugfixes, some tutorial and UI improvements and more!

Changes:
– Camera zoom now no longer resets when returning to flight state.
– Added « move camera with aim » setting. If disabled, the player is ship centered on the screen always, regardless of aim.
– If during an encounter the camera auto-focuses on other ships (e.g. when arriving), the camera will no longer move but instead quickly fade in and out.
– Relations with friendly or allied factions now drop more slowly when destroying their ships.
– Added in-flight bars for total health and shield.
– Added some additional steps to the star map tutorial, explaining factions and the route to follow.
– Replaced containers in tutorial with targets, and made it more clear that they need to be destroyed.
– Increased starting metal a bit so all starter ships can add a weapon during the tutorial.
– Added some more tooltips to the ship editor.
– Original Cultist boss is now for insane difficulty only. For other difficulties changed the boss so that it has weaker armor, is slower, and has a number of additional weak points.


Bugfixes:

– Unused crew levels would not save correctly. This fix also restores missing crew levels.
– Faction relations would reset when opening the bounty hunt screen with no active mission.
– When loading a game the XP gain indication in the bounty hunt screen was incorrect for the first mission.
– Out of fuel encounter for when in Robotic Plague territory was missing.
– Interception encounters for when in « evil » faction territory were missing.
– Input hints would get messed up when a powerup was picked up
