Thanks for checking out the game! If you’ve enjoyed Bit ESC, a review would be much appreciated and would help Steam push the game to others.
I’ve been actively fixing Bit ESC ever since launch and we’re at a point where there are still bugs but their severity has decreased considerably so I thought I’d share a roadmap of what’s to come for the game. Here are the things I’ll be working on:
Bug fixes. We’re not out of the woods just yet.
Polishing rough edges.
Difficulty tweaking
More art, more sound effects and more music.
A few more tiny interactions throughout the game.
Add more impact to certain moments. Some critical moments need a little extra oomph.
Boss fights. I had to cut a few boss fights to get the game out in time. Let’s bring them back in.
A story path. Bit ESC at certain points branches depending on your actions throughout the playthrough. I closed off one of those paths to make the launch date.
Warp points. You know those bus stops you passed by? They’re meant to be warp points once you activate them.
Cheat codes. Those are always fun, right?
Steam Deck support? I can’t promise anything in this regard but I’ll do my best to get it running on Steam Deck and verified.
These features will be rolled out bit by bit up till the end of October. If you’ve got any ideas of what you’d like to see in the game, please don’t hesitate to share it here.
