Wretch: Divine Ascent : Wretch:Divine Ascent FAQ
Wretch:Divine Ascent FAQ
Dear players,
We are the development team behind Wretch: Divine Ascent . It has been ten months since we posted our first video on January 7, and now, the day of the official launch has finally arrived.
Starting this January, we began updating the game every 1–2 weeks through closed offline tests, in-person events, limited online beta tests, and large-scale public testing. Gradually, we received valuable feedback and suggestions from many players.
As player inquiries grew, we launched weekly developer livestreams every Friday to communicate with the community in real time. Over time, you—the players—have become an integral part of the game’s development. It’s fair to say that Wretch: Divine Ascent was built together with you.
About the Launch Status
As a game that has evolved through rapid iteration and player feedback since its early development stages, we do not see the launch as the end of development, but rather a new beginning.
You can think of it as an Early Access model or a « game as a service » approach—we will continue to deliver new content.
In the future, when the game’s content reaches a substantial scale, we may consider adjusting the price, but this will not affect players who have already purchased the game.
We already have a relatively clear update plan. Please refer to the roadmap below:

Answers to Some Common Questions
❓ Game crashes during play?
We fully acknowledge that the current version still has room for improvement. For instance, based on feedback from the last Steam Next Fest, we’ve already worked on specific optimizations. However, as a team of only three people—with just one programmer—we unfortunately can’t resolve every issue as quickly as we’d like.

. We’ll keep optimizing!
❓ The tutorial isn’t clear enough and I’m confused?
Our game introduces some fairly complex mechanics. While there is a tutorial level, we know it may not cover everything.

❓ Can’t refresh the Trials leaderboard?
Leaderboard functionality is influenced by your network condition. If the Trials leaderboard fails to load or display, please check your connection—e.g., whether you’re using a VPN or if you’re connected to the internet.
❓ I bought the Deluxe Edition—where are the Artbook and skins?
• Artbook: In your Steam Library, right-click the game → Manage → Browse local files → Open the [c]ArtBook[/c] folder.
• Skins: Unlocked skins can be found in the Forge section on the main menu. Equip them for the corresponding weapons to use in battle.
❓ Is Mac supported? Any plans for console versions?
The game currently does not support Mac. As for console ports, we will begin exploring those after the PC version is stable and well-received. Our priority remains ensuring a smooth PC experience.
We’ve also seen some players asking about a mobile version—that would be a much larger undertaking, and we currently have no plans for it.
A Small Request
Although the game features asynchronous online battles, it is fundamentally a single-player experience. We kindly ask players to refrain from using trainers or mods, as they not only undermine the fun of backpack building and optimizing your loadout but may also affect other players’ experience due to data synchronization with our servers.
If you encounter opponents in-game with clearly unbalanced stats, please report them to us in the discord

Thank you all for your ongoing support! Let’s continue this journey together!
