A heterogeneous team of Parias robots is hired by the Saxon Corporation, and is offered a last chance to shine (and to avoid ending up). It forms the New Atlas Hazard Crew, a squad of unloped exterminators sent to unravel the mysteries of a fungal disaster on a planetary scale.
