Riddlewood Manor : Riddlewood Manor — Update 2.1.1
Riddlewood Manor — Update 2.1.1
2.1.1 is live. The headline change is something we heard about again and again from players : many of you were frustrated that backtracking through the mansion effectively meant dying just to move around. That wasn’t the experience we wanted, so this update is built around letting you explore the manor more freely once you’ve made real progress.
After a room’s main puzzle is solved , you can return to earlier rooms and move through the house in a much more natural way. We also improved how the game remembers where you came from , so spawns and scene flow stay sensible when you’re revisiting areas or returning from later parts of the run.
Also in this build (smaller fixes and polish)
• Loose items — when you come back to a room, you shouldn’t be able to pick up the same loose collectibles twice if they’re already in your inventory.
• Walkthrough — “See Walkthrough” in the UI (localized) links to the official guide:
https://www.peanutbutton.net/riddlewood-walkthrough
• Steam achievement — 100% progression with at most one death (“reincarnation”) unlocks the hundred-percent-max-one-death achievement.
• Catacombs — fix for a condition/activation issue in that scene.
• Localization — restored a missing line dropped during translation work; new strings for the walkthrough button.
Engine: Upgraded to Unity 2022.3.62f3 , which among other things brings vendor security patches along with the usual stability and compatibility updates.
Thanks for the feedback that pushed this update—keep it coming, and enjoy wandering the manor without the old workaround.
