Mycopunk : Procedural Levels BETA
Procedural Levels BETA
HELLO EMPLOYEES! The World Update is launching later this month, but you can try it out early in the public beta. Try it out, let us know what you think of the changes, and also let us know what breaks!
Please BACK UP your save file before switching to the beta branch! You don’t want to risk losing everything:
• Navigate to C:Users[username]AppDataLocalLowPigeons at PlayMycopunkProfiles
• Copy the ‘default’ folder to wherever you want to back up your save
• If you ever need to restore your save data, just replace the default folder in profiles with your backed up folder
To join the beta, right click on Mycopunk in your steam library, go to properties > betas, and input the code ‘ OysterAttack ’ to unlock the beta branch. Catastrophic events notwithstanding, any progress you make on the beta will carry over to the default branch.
With that out of the way, here’s what’s new:
Procedural Levels
• The Flourishing Desert, Gravity Farm, and Ice Floes are available as procedural levels! Moldy Tundra and City Outskirts are still in the works…
• You can access old levels from the Legacy Missions button in the Mission Select screen
• Explosions scorch the grass in procedural levels (this can be disabled in your settings)
• Procedural levels are filled with new side objectives and points of interest (marked as ? on your map)
• Joining in progress is currently disabled for missions in procedural levels
Missions
• Saxonite Transport’s barrel sorting objective has been replaced! Now you gotta commandeer barrels from CR4T3R and B0X3R.
• Added a new mini mission which rarely appears in the mission select
Minimap
• It’s a map. You can hold M to enlarge it and you can press MMB on the map to ping.
Blitseg Hover Bike
• The Blitseg is your new default vehicle. It comes with boost capabilities and you can press X to switch between first and third person.
• Added an option in your control settings to steer the blitseg with A & D instead of your camera
Heavy Weapons
• You no longer drop your heavy weapon when you die
• Heavy weapon upgrades are coming in the World Update but aren’t part of the beta
• Multiple Heavy weapon beacons now spawn in every mission and are marked on your map
• Beacons (and the Acid Grenade’s Connected Systems upgrade) call in a crate that lets you select a Heavy Weapon
• Updated heavy weapon icons
Movement Changes
• You can walk up steeper slopes
Other Changes
• Fixed ammo getting reset to full when exiting your inventory in a mission
• Skin drops now look different from normal upgrades
• Escalation mode in Paid Time Off defaults to off
• Added texture streaming and a graphics option for the texture streaming budget (how many MB of texture data can be loaded into video RAM at once) that defaults to 2048MB.
• Fixed an issue where your position could stop syncing to other players if a vehicle you’re driving is despawned
• Improved behavior for riding Satellite Salvage cables up walls so you’re less likely to hit the wall and fall off
• Instead of teleporting, enemies will dig to you when they can’t reach you
