New build (1.2.2) previewing on Experimental Branch
Hello Preppers!
We just put out a fresh new build (v 1.2.2) out on the Experimental branch. We hope some of you will help us preview it before we roll it out in full.
Here are the cool new things to look out for:
Trinkets;
This new update brings 15 brand-new Trinkets into Guntouchables. Trinkets are pickups you can find during your run that will vastly improve your play in various different ways. It includes elemental synergies, bouncing bullets and bile immunity. BUT… you can only have one at a time, so be sure to think twice before switching it out. Furthermore the Trinkets have their own progression that carries from each run. So the more you play with a trinket the more powerful it will be come. We hope you will come to enjoy them as much as we do.
Multiplayer bots and joining;
This update also comes with significant changes to joining, bots and the multiplayer experience in general. Bots are now optional (and disabled by default) – allowing you to start a multiplayer expedition with just one player, and wait for other players to join. In addition to this, we have expanded the late-join functionality, so you can now join a running game all the way up to the boss level, so no need to wait around for players in the first level.
Balancing;
We’ve taken a good look at the balance for games with 2-3 players. Typically, players in these games would encounter some massive difficulty spikes around certain specific situations compared to games with 4 players. Hopefully, the experience is now closer in line with a 4-player game now in terms of difficulty.
Dynamic difficulty scaling;
With players now being able to leave and join games all the way to the boss level, we have made the difficulty more adaptable as it now scales on the fly with the current number of players in the game.

Think of it as a parallel universe where a different version of Guntouchables lives. It’s where we upload features, tuning passes, and experimental ideas that aren’t quite ready for the main game – but might be with your help.

…then the Experimental Branch is absolutely for you.
If not, no worries! You can stay on the main branch where things are stable and cozy.
🔧 How to Join the Experimental Branch
Right-click Guntouchables in your Steam Library
Select Properties
Go to the BETAS tab
From the dropdown, choose: “Experimental Branch. To test out all the crazy stuff.”
Close the window and Steam should begin downloading
If nothing happens, restart Steam
⚠️ Important: Players on the Experimental Branch cannot matchmake with players on the main branch (and vice versa). Make sure you and your friends are on the same version.
💬 Where to Leave Feedback
We’ve set up a dedicated #experimental-branch channel on our
server. That’s where you can drop your impressions, bug reports, and balance thoughts. We’ll be actively monitoring feedback throughout the test.
⚖️ What’s New in This Test Build
This experiment introduces:
ADDED;
• 15 new Trinkets
• New Trinket vending machine
• Added small ‘Daily Job’ icon on Weapons and Characters that are in the players current daily jobs
CHANGED;
• Bots can now be added and removed in multiplayer
• Rusty will be in multiplayer games with only one player.
• Players can join running games up until the boss fight
• Players can toggle private and public game during runs
• Weapon prices are lowered for most weapons in the shop
• Better dynamic difficulty scaling for 2 and 3 players
• Putting down an ammo crate drops ammo matching the amount of players
• Spitter enemy damage decreased
• Spitter attack animation improved
REMOVED;
• Ricochet mod is converted to a Trinket
• Showing ammo type on weapon cards
FIXES;
• Issue with +50 shown in multiplayer, when the player did not get it
• Alpha Nymph damage issue
• Issue with Weapon backgrounds, where it did not update properly
• Elemental rockets and grenades for Auto Launcher and Rocket Launcher
