Dreadmyst Launches Friday, January 9th!

After a month of beta testing and hundreds of updates, Dreadmyst is ready for launch. What started as a core leveling experience has grown substantially, an endgame progression system, competitive arena, open world PvP, dungeons, and a leaderboard have all been added since the beta began in mid-December.

What’s Coming

Launch week is focused on stability, security, and fair play, making sure the foundation is solid before building more on top of it. On January 17th, a content update will add a new dungeon and the first phase of a crafting system inspired by Diablo 2’s Horadric Cube, letting you combine and transform items into something greater. This is just the start; more dungeons, more systems, and more endgame are in active development.

What's Been Added

Endgame Progression

Reaching level 25 is just the beginning. The Combat Rating system tracks your gear power across eight tiers:

• Mortal
• Renowned
• Hero
• Divine
• Demigod
• Godly
• Overgod

Chase Divine and Godly drops from dungeons and world bosses, socket gems into your equipment, and use the new Orb Extractor to convert unwanted gear into crafting materials. A respec system lets you rebuild your character once you’ve hit the cap.

The Arena is live with a full queue and rating system. Step into matches, climb the ladder, and prove yourself. For those who prefer a less structured fight, Kandorys Forecourt and the dragon’s domain in Firesheer are now contested territory. Flag up and fight for control of the best loot spawns and world bosses. The town crier will let everyone know when blood is spilled, with commentary that reflects whether the kill was honorable or not.

The new ladder at

https://dreadmyst.com/ladder

tracks:

• Most player kills
• Highest Arena Rating
• Highest Combat Rating

Dungeons

Group content is built around the trinity system and requires real coordination. Crowd control matters here: stuns, fears, incapacitates, polymorphs. You’ll need to use them, and the mobs will use them right back. Packs heal each other, interrupt your casts, and punish bad positioning. Bosses have mechanics with telegraphs you need to read and respond to. There are actual strategies, and you’ll wipe until you figure them out. Four dungeons are available at launch.

Solo dungeons aren’t just watered-down group content. They have their own mechanics and demand that you know your class. Dungeon progression is tiered, and the second tier is a serious gear check for all that Divine and Godly gear you’ve been grinding. This is real PvE content with real depth, not something you sleepwalk through to get to the « actual » game.

Infrastructure

Guilds, banking, trading, multiple channels, and quality of life features are all in place. The backend has been hardened with logging, backups, and moderation tools to ensure a stable launch.

See you in St. Revere.
