Kings of Hell Early Access v1.4 Update!

Hey again, Octii here!

This update took AWHILE to do, and is a BIT BEEFY in terms of what it introduces. This update was focused on addressing Frame Rate and Resolution stuff!… have a read below!

• Fixed Aspect Ratio throughout the game!: This means the game will be playable at smaller resolutions, including that of the Steam Deck!… However, it IS Important to note that the cutscenes ARE framed for 1920×1080, so lower resolutions such as 4:3 will not appear correctly, with 16:9 giving perfect results and 16:10 coming a close second!
• Added an Additional Video Option where, if you Disable Vsynch, you can adjust the Frame Rate to 60, 90 and 120!… However, it is IMPORTANT to not that the game was built around 60 FPS in mind, so just keep in mind playing at higher frame rate (or a monitor refresh rate over 60 with Vsynch on) May cause issues!
• Figured out why Mal was slowing down at Higher Frame Rates. This is due to his Rigid Body Interpolate Setting was Set To « Interpolate », when it should of been « None ». This has been remedied!
• I have expanded out the edges of the camera when you walk to the corners of the arena closest to the camera, so your character is much less likely to be obscured by being in the camera. In addition to this, I expand it out more on lower resolutions, so your character should always be visible now!
• I have fixed enemies 3D Tails not rendering the Frozen Effect Correctly. It now matches the rest of the Frozen Body when they are Frozen by Mal!
• Made it so you can Hide Info in Sticker Gallery Page 2 without needing to press any other button but Hide Info. This was a glitch, and has now been fixed!
• Accidentally left ANOTHER debug code from the PREVIOUS UPDATE which caused issues (L button was causing enemies to resort to their Idle animation). This has been fixed!
• Adjusted the stairs in the Haunted House ride so that players can’t squeeze in-between the stairs and painting. This was causing some issues with some characters, and has now been fixed!

And thats all for now. I am trying to think if there’s anything else that needs adjusting before I begin work on Chapter 5. Feel free to keep posting in the forums and here to give me a heads up on any changes you’d like to see!

Thank you all again for playing my game, and I will see you all again soon!
